Genus-level cladogram of the Echimyini rodents, based on mitochondrial and nuclear DNA sequences.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
The informal clade name "Dactylomines" is indicated to reflect the shared unique features of the bamboo rats Dactylomys, Olallamys, and Kannabateomys.[10]
The informal name "Eumysopines" is provided to show that Lonchothrix and Mesomys have often been classified in this otherwise polyphyletic subfamily.[10]
The root of the cladogram is also indicated: it can be seen as the most recent common ancestor of all taxa of the phylogenetic tree.
