Ashley Támar Davis (known professionally as Támar Davis and sometimes simply Támar) is an American singer. She began her career as member of the girl group Girl's Tyme, appearing on Star Search before departing ahead of their transition into Destiny's Child.[1] A longtime protégé of Prince, she toured with him during the promotion of 3121 (2006),[2] and collaborated on the duet "Beautiful, Loved and Blessed", which earned her a nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards.[3][4] In 2016, she competed on season 10 of The Voice and later performed with Kanye West's Sunday Service Choir.

Beyond music, Davis starred in Tyler Perry's stage plays Madea's Big Happy Family (2010) and A Madea Christmas (2011). Her career has also extended behind the scenes, working as a music supervisor on multiple television productions, including That Damn Michael Che,[5] and the Netflix documentary Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip-Hop.[6]
