The coastal rock gecko (Pristurus simonettai) is a species of lizard in the family Sphaerodactylidae. The species is endemic to Somalia.[1][2]
Etymology
[edit | edit source]The specific name, simonettai, is in honor of Italian zoologist Alberto Mario Simonetta (born 1930).[3]
Geographic range
[edit | edit source]P. simonettai is found in southern Somalia.[1][2]
Description
[edit | edit source]The body of P. simonettai is almost completely covered with strongly carinate imbricate scales.[4]
Reproduction
[edit | edit source]P. simonettai is oviparous.[2]
