Shamil Rural District (Persian: دهستان شميل) is in Shamil District of Bandar Abbas County, Hormozgan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Shamil.[4]
Demographics

[edit | edit source]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of Takht District) was 22,280 in 4,949 households.[5] There were 24,154 inhabitants in 6,198 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 24,268 in 6,924 households. The most populous of its 56 villages was Hasan Langi-ye Bala, with 1,943 people.[2]
After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the formation of Shamil District.[3]
