Neṭuñceḻiyaṉ is the Pandyan king appearing in Ilango Adigal's Tamil epic Cilappatikaram. In the story, he dies of a broken heart along with his queen-consort Kopperundevi after Kannagi confronts him for the unjust execution of her husband Kovalan.[3][4]

He is also featured in Tamil-language textbooks, such as those released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
