This work is in the public domain because it was published in the United States between 1931 and 1977 inclusive, without a copyright notice. Unless the author has been dead for several years, it is not in the public domain in countries that do not apply the rule of the shorter term for US works. This includes Canada, China (not Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan Area), Germany, Mexico, Switzerland, and other countries with individual treaties. See also further explanation.
Information: Picture of an advertising matchbook displaying the logo of the Blue Network, dated ca. 1942-1945. WFCI was an affiliate of the Blue Network in Rhode Island. The item in question, a matchbook, is very clearly used for advertising and promotional purposes. It is also worth noting that this logo has not been used since the Blue Network changed its name in 1945, and references to that name generally ceased by 1949. It is also worth noting that WFCI, the radio station referred to in the advertisement, has been off the air since the mid-1950s.
