The Proletariat are an American punk rock band from Southeastern Massachusetts. They were active during the 1980s in the Boston Hardcore scene. This image, taken by Bostonian punk photographer Phil In Phlash, portrays the band members as they were in their heyday. From left to right are Tom McKnight, Frank Michaels, Peter Bevilacqua, and Richard Brown. The photograph copyright is believed to belong to the Boston, Massachusetts-based corporation Phoenix Media/Communications Group, or to the photographer Phil In Phlash.
