Summary

Description
English: Young-of-the-year (YOY) vermilion rockfish. Mostly a deep red with cream, gold or white blotches, the caudal tail is initially transparent, and the spiny dorsal fin has a dark spot that fades within a few weeks of settling. Pelvic and anal fins have posterior black fringes. At reef-sand interface, usually over sand.
