Summary

Description Photo of Roger Moore as Beau Maverick from the television program Maverick. The photo was released to announce the new character that Moore would portray.
Date Has an October 1960 date stamp. The first episode with Moore aired in September 1960. In order to be able to read the publicity release, I had to flip the back of the photo as it was scanned incorrectly, so the date would be shown backwards.

Author ABC Television via the Bureau of Industrial Service. Networks, program sponsors and studios often used either public relations or ad agencies to distribute publicity information. The "bureau" was one which was widely used by many in the business for that purpose; it was a division of ad agency Young & Rubicam.
