Description

A screenshot from id Software's Quake III Arena video game. This shot is of the very beginning of the first single-player level, "Introduction" (q3dm0). Shown is a tall mirror, in which is reflected both the Quake III logo and a player using the "Sarge" model and holding a machine gun. The white circle in the middle of the screen is the reticle. Data shown in the bottom-left corner of the screen represents the amount of ammunition held for the currently-selected weapon (machine gun); the number next to the face is the player's health. Figures shown in the bottom-right corner are the number of kills required to complete the level (left) and the number of kills the player has made (right).
