Fair use rationale for Poll tax (Great Britain)

This leaflet was produced to inform the public about the impending introduction of the Community Charge. It was only the second time the UK government had sent an information leaflet to all households. (It was widely parodied at the time and the design was distinctive.)

The design of the leaflet was produced by the Central Office of Information, an institution of the UK Government, and the text was written by the Department of the Environment. The image has no commercial value. As it was distributed to approximately 30 million households free of charge, it is difficult to justify any market harm by using the image on Wikipedia.

This work is protected by the British Crown copyright. Limitations on its distribution are defined at the original site of publication, and are not altered by its reproduction here.
