Though this image is subject to copyright, I feel its use in Wikipedia is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- It is a historically image specifically created to promote and publicize the Malaysia MEASAT-3 communications satellite.
- There is no equivalent free replacement alternative of the image. The image is historical as it shows the MEASAT-3 satellite being prepped in the Boeing facilities (it has been launched and no other image can be recreated).
- It is of much lower resolution (JPG lossy) than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality. It is unsuitable for use in printing (RGB).
- The image is only being used for informational purposes only.
- Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows the subject(s) of the articles and the influence the subject matter has in Malaysian science and technology.
