- Resolution: Image is of high enough resolution to identify the single and illustrate the appearance of the artwork, but is of low enough resolution that copies of the image could not be used as artwork on illegal physical copies of the single.
- Purpose: Image illustrates an educational article about the single from which the cover illustration was taken. It is used as the primary means of visual identification of the article topic; as such, it is a more appropriate image than any other available. It illustrates the appearance of the cover artwork.
