English: The Symbol of Indian Rupee revealed by the Union Cabinet on 15 July 2010, and adopted on 12 October 2010 by India and worldwide following its adoption by the Unicode Consortium with the release of Unicode 6.0. The Design for the symbol was submitted by D. Udaya Kumar.
