Popular Electronics was started by Ziff-Davis in October 1954. The magazine was renamed Computers & Electronics in November 1982 and was published until April 1985. Gernsback Publications acquired the Popular Electronics title and used it on their Hands-On Electronics magazine starting in November 1988.

Yes. The 8.125 by 10.75 inch (206 by 273 mm) cover was scanned at 300 dpi and saved as a TIFF file. This file was reduced to 34 dpi JPG. The resolution is minimum necessary to read the significant text on the cover.
