Français : Ces armes, adoptées par le Conseil municipal le 23 septembre 1921, furent adoptées par le Conseil d'Etat le 4 janvier 1924.
Object history
Français : Ces armes sont celles de la famille de Cholex ou Cholay, qui s'éteignit en la personne de Gaspard de Chalay, seigneur de Cholay, possesseur du château de Choulex, mort avant 1623. Son cachet, qui se trouve sur une lettre de 1567 conservée aux Archives d'État montre dans l'écu et sur le crimier un griffon. Choulex est une des communes réunis à Genève par le traité de Turin du 16 mars 1816.
