  • This photo was produced prior to 1978 and has no copyright markings.
  • It can be dated by the NBC information on the back of the photo which is shown in the original upload and the photo link above, and also by the date the program began--September 17, 1955.
  • The 23 December 1988 date stamp on the photo appears to have been placed there by the newspaper for internal file purposes.
  • The original press release carries the NBC Xylophone logo which was in use by NBC from 1953-1960. This is in keeping with the timeframe of when this version of the Como show aired for the first time.
