Ferhat is a Turkish given name and the common Turkish spelling of the Persian name Ferhad (Persian: فرهاد, farhād) although other spellings are also used but are a lot less common.
It is also an Arabic name which is popular among Maghreb countries, the name might be derived from the word "ferah" which means "joy." Therefore, Ferhat can be interpreted as "joyful" or "happy." It may refer to:
