Binéfar (Spanish: [biˈnefaɾ] Audio file "Pronunciation of Binéfar in Spanish.ogg" not found) is a municipality located in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. According to the 2008 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 9,288 inhabitants.
It is the home of the children's theatre group "Los Titiriteros de Binéfar".[citation needed]

History
[edit | edit source]During the Spanish Civil War, the town participated in the Spanish revolution and was collectivised by the CNT.[1]
Notable people
[edit | edit source]- Agustín Abadía (born 15 April 1962) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a left midfielder, and a current coach.
